Lunchmeat VHS!

September 2019 marks the five-year anniversary of the creation of my Lunchmeat VHS Fanzine tape! Released in May that following year, the original 30-minute version offered faux 'trailers' for every track off my S/T album - utilizing footage from cult movies considered to be in the public domain - with a 3D version added as a bonus courtesy James 'Doc Terror' Harris!

Updated with the remixed and remastered versions off my Videogram Redux album, you can stream the video it in all its 4:3 glory on my YouTube channel here. Choice Cuts!

June 25 marks the four-year anniversary of Videogram, as the S/T album - rereleased last year as Videogram Redux - made its debut to coincide with Doc Terror's Italian Horror Week.

To celebrate this, SelectaVision is releasing the Choice Cuts 2014 - 2018 compilation on CD and digital! The fourteen-track album culls tracks from all official Videogram releases with additional bonus tracks - all remixed and remastered specifically for this release.

The album includes a taste from the Videogram and Andrew Claristidge sessions, a demo from the scrapped Slasher EP, outtakes, tracks from the Pre-Cert LP/CD, the Gladiatori dell'Apocalisse and Camp Blood EPs, as well as tracks from omitted releases such as the Cobretti three-track EP.

The release date is set to June 25, but pre-orders of both the digital release and CD are available on Bandcamp now.

Videogram Redux!

Originally released in the summer of 2014 to coincide with Doc Terror / Horror Sexy's Italian Horror Week, Videogram's S/T album burst onto the international horror scene, receiving accolades such as "truly an amazing auditory experience" (Horror, Sci-fi & More), a "skillfully crafted faux soundtrack album grounded in retro electronica" (Rue Morgue), and "the most powerful piece of electronic scoring to hit the horror community this year" (Lunchmeat VHS Fanzine).

Created as a trailer show for a fictitious 1980s VHS distributor, the album offered sixteen tracks of genre-influenced sounds, with inspiration culled from the sleazy slasher, dusty post-apocalyptic dirger, supernatural horror, and Italian cannibal section of the VHS rental store, bookmarked between faux idents and a voice-over copyright warning.

Now, having remixed each original track, culling bonus tracks from out-of-print releases as well as previously unreleased material, the album has been reissued as Videogram Redux, the first in a series of three collecting early and unreleased material.

May 1st marks the launch date of my all-new merch store on TeePublic! Throughout April I've browsed hundreds of fan art t-shirts, building an inventory, adding tons of the cool designs available.

Kodak Moment!

Here we go, got this in the mail earlier this week, my own copy of the Lunchmeat VHS tape! It looks great and I am damn satisfied having released this one. Like I already posted on my Facebook, this one sold out in no time, but if you want the digital version - complete with the VHS master of the S/T album - head on over to VHX.com to get it.

Lunchmeat VHS!

Yes! Here it is! I couldn't be more excited to announce the second physical Videogram release, the Lunchmeat VHS! Released in collaboration with Lunchmeat VHS Fanzine and Doc Terror, this limited-edition VHS features the complete 2014 S/T album in visual form, edited as a faux-trailer show. Fourteen videos in total complete with idents.

But that's not all! We went out of our way to make this one as beefy as possible, so as an added bonus the VHS includes a 3D version - with glasses included! Wrapped in a clambox shell and featuring artwork by Loud Comix' illustrator Jamie Vayda, these are available via Lunchmeat's official website only, and, to make it fair for everyone, there are no pre-orders taken. Update

As February is coming to a close I figured it was time for an update: The second physical Videogram release is in the works right now as I finished up my end of it this past week.

Both Lunchmeat VHS Fanzine and Doc Terror/Horror Sexy are in on this, Loud Comix' Jamie Vayda did the artwork and I don't wanna ruin the surprise, but it's gonna be a pretty insane one that I hope will make people as psyched as I was creating it. Teasers will be posted later on!

The Cineploit album is coming along quite nicely. I've been mixing a lot of drum tracks this past week (I just finished up one tonight) and soundwise this one's gonna be a pretty beefy album - if you liked my Camp Blood single this'll be right up your alley.

For those wanting a taste there's probably gonna be a digital EP released soon-ish featuring one album track with some exclusive bonus tracks - including one that has some choice synths courtesy D.A. Medina. Stay tuned!

"Another skillfully crafted faux soundtrack album grounded in retro electronica."

So the 150th issue of Rue Morgue Magazine has hit the streets, leading to a much-appreciated increase in the amount of "likes" on my Facebook page, and James Harris of Doc Terror kindly sent me a photo to check out while waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail.

Receiving a three-star review, it was nice getting the comparison to both John Carpenter as well as Goblin, but the Morricone aspect was a bit of a surprise - although the guy's the soundtrack maestro so I am not complaining!

July has passed and Doc Terror's Italian Horror Week as well as the Videogram project and debut album was launched, both receiving a much-encouraging response from the horror community.
