VHS Lives 2: Undead Format!

Not that much info to share at the moment, but earlier this week Vestra Pictures producer Tony Newton posted the great-looking poster art for VHS Lives sequel VHS Lives 2: Undead Format online! Speaking of which: I received my screener copy of VHS Lives in the mail not that long ago. Distributed by MVD Home Entertainment, the DVD is available via WWMD direct here, as well as major retailers such as CD Universe and Target. The digital VOD version is available via iTunes, Amazon and similar streaming sites. Check it out!

VHS Lives: Out Now!

And it's finally here, the official release of VHS Lives: A Schlockumentary! An "awesome way to relive the 80's!" according to Starburst Magazine, it's already been dubbed a cult classic by some. I couldn't be more excited and wish all the best to Tony and everyone else at Vestra Pictures!

Radio Renate

Check it out: Acid Washed recently played a show at Salon - Zur wilden Renate in Berlin, and, to promote this, Andrew did an in-studio interview with Radio Renate while sharing some recent work on-air, including their remix of Voorhees Stomp. VHS Lives: Pre-orders available now!

An update on the VHS Lives documentary: Mid-March I received word that the UK-produced documentary had secured distribution on DVD via WWMD, and this past weekend the DVD was announced being available to pre-order! You can order your copy via WWMD direct here, Forbidden Planet here and iTunes here.

The documentary, featuring myself and Videogram's music, as well as Jörg Buttgereit, Troma's own Lloyd Kaufman, and Josh from Lunchmeat VHS Fanzine, and others, goes deep into the psyche of VHS collectors, SOV filmmakers, and VHS-inspired musicians/producers, and shows why the old VHS tapes you have rotting away in your loft are becoming antique collectors pieces!

Voorhees Stomp (Acid Washed Remix)!

Just in time for Friday the 13th, French electronic duo Acid Washed sink their teeth into Voorhees Stomp, the tongue-in-cheek tribute to Crystal Lake's favorite mama's boy!

The Record Makers' artists - whose previous remix collaborations include Moby, Wolfmother, and Jimmy Somerville - updates the fun, retro-tinged 2015 original and delivers a hard-edged, stomping crossover dance remix with powerful rhythm, booming effects, and ominous, eerie synths.

The track comes with outstanding Jason X-themed artwork by U.S. poster artist Jesse Philips, whose impressive portfolio includes a wide variety of artists such as The Pixies, Radiohead, Napalm Death, and Beck, to mention just a few.

Heavy Metal Horror Cast!

Hail to the Chin, baby! Grab your chainsaw, fire up the Oldsmobile and check out the latest episode of Heavy Metal Horror Cast, as they revisit personal fave Evil Dead 2, and play some choice cuts off my Test Subject 011 EP on SelectaVision.

Slapstick, surreal and truly superb, Sam Raimi's Evil Dead 2 is a welcome revisit to the cabin that started it all. Through mastery and mayhem, it has gone on to become one of the most well loved and revered sequels of all time, establishing an icon in both Bruce Campbell and his character Ash.

Sue heads back to Professor Knowby's pad, chatting comedy capers, sweaty siblings and an ingenious plot which helped to ensure the films release. We'll also be checking out the fantastic track Test Subject 11, from the synth-tastic Videogram.

Pre-Cert digital

Here we go: Those wanting a digital download version of my coming Pre-Cert LP/CD don't have to wait any longer. As of today, the thirteen-track album is available via my official Bandcamp page. You can check it out here and give it a spin below.

The physical versions can be pre-ordered via Cineploit (CD €10/$12, gatefold LP €17/$20 and LP/CD combo €18/$21, plus postage) here and more streaming/download outlets like iTunes, Spotify etc. will be available starting November 13th.

While on the subject, the album just received a great review from The Active Listener. Summing it up as a "love letter to a bygone age", "truly beautifully executed" and "a huge amount of fun", you can read it in full here.

Featuring 2077: Raiders of the Apocalypse off my S/T album, the roughly 40 minute show includes fellow Cineploit artists and a cool intro by Jean-Claude Van Damme!

While on the subject, last week saw the launch of the HorrorSexy podcast. Debuting with an episode focusing on screeners, I'm happy to say they decided to use Regina dei Cannibali End Titles as a title theme. Two episodes are online so far. Check 'em out!

Camp Blood single

I don't always ch ch ch, but when I do I ah ah ah... October's finally here and I am stoked to announce to release the Camp Blood single. Not only 'cause I think the track turned pretty cool, but also as a fellow horror fan 'cause it's just one big "nudge nudge, wink wink" for the Friday the 13th fans.

Say hello to Aunt Alicia!

While currently working on the various physical editions of the Videogram album - read more on what's coming in my interview with Lunchmeat VHS Fanzine here - I figured I'd round up the streaming services that's available as of now.

First off, the full 16-track VHS trailer-show version is available via my Bandcamp only, so if you wanna experience it you should head on over here and plop down $7 to get it. Keep in mind that Bandcamp is the only service that allows DIY/indie artists to keep all the revenue generated from sales, and considering said revenue will finance my own physical edition that's sure to have vinyl fans salivating you might wanna go with that option.

Second, my SoundCloud page offers some choice cuts taken from the album (not available for download, tho!) and in the future I figure I'll post demos and rough ideas as well, so it's definitely worth checking out. It's also a great way to get in touch with fellow fans and musicians and discover some cool new music, so visit me here and maybe even hit that "follow" button.
